Not sure if anyone has seen this, but I thought it might be of interest to some. It's an article from the Crossfit Camp Pendleton website that discusses the best way to get a group of Marines (soldiers and other cadets, in our case) involved in Crossfit. Has some helpful advice for expanding a Crossfit program in a military context.

Day two of running with the Vibram Five Finger shoes. My calves are killing me but the knee pain is gone.

Chris--How do you like the shoes? Where did you get them? Saw some on a guy at the cert but didn't get a chance to talk to him.

7:10 as RX'ed...I haven't done snatches in 4 years. I should have gone this morning to get help with form and to have time to rest up for tomorrow...

I picked up the shoes while I was at home. So far they are pretty fun. I have lifted with them a few times already. I really like to use them for squats, dl, and cleans because it feels like not having any shoes on. I am hoping to learn more about running with them at the running cert in a couple of weeks.

14:04 as RX'd. I suck at anything with a barbell.

I think the guidance on this one should be the same as the guidance on Grace and Isabel, essentially, "Use 95 pounds, 65 pounds or broomstick as needed...."

75# was good for me (last time I did this I used a 40# padded bar in the '62 room) but I definately agree once you get under 8 min or so its time to bump it up a bit.
